Dayle
Dayle has dedicated her entire career to the medical profession, starting right out of school. Her journey began in dental care before she transitioned into broader health services, a shift that allowed her to align her professional life with her natural inclination to care for and help others. This career path has not only been fulfilling for Dayle but has also complemented her role as a mother, allowing her to balance work and family life effectively.
For Dayle, working at Toowoomba Obstetrics and Gynaecology (TOAG) has been particularly rewarding. She thrives in the supportive, close-knit environment that the TOAG team has cultivated. The team's dynamic is built on a shared commitment to ensuring that every woman who walks through their doors has a memorable and positive experience, whether they are embarking on the journey of pregnancy or navigating the challenges of perimenopause or menopause.
Dayle feels a deep connection to her colleagues, often finding that they are so in sync that they can finish each other's sentences. This strong camaraderie is reflected in their work; whether they are offering a reassuring hug to a patient in need or sharing a light-hearted moment to ease the tension, the TOAG team knows how to blend professionalism with genuine care and a touch of humour.
Outside of work, Dayle is a devoted family woman, having successfully balanced her career with raising her own children. Her nurturing nature extends beyond her family and into her professional life, where she is deeply committed to making a difference in the lives of the women she serves. Dayle's ability to connect with patients and colleagues alike is a testament to her caring and compassionate character, making her an invaluable member of the TOAG team.
Lyn
Lyn has always had a passion for office work, drawn to the structured and organized environment that allows her to apply her strengths in typing, business principles, and shorthand—skills she honed during her school years. These subjects came naturally to her, and she knew early on that this was the career path she wanted to pursue.
Before joining Toowoomba Obstetrics and Gynaecology (TOAG), Lyn worked at a bustling local GP's office. There, she found deep satisfaction in helping others, whether it was by securing a timely appointment for a patient or providing a comforting word during a stressful time. The ability to make even a small difference in someone's day gave her immense joy and a sense of purpose.
In February 2020, Lyn began her journey with Dr. Lanziz Homar at TOAG, just after he opened his rooms. She immediately felt at home in the small, close-knit team where mutual support and collaboration are the norms. Lyn is continually inspired by Dr. Homar's unwavering dedication to his patients and his genuine kindness and compassion—qualities she witnesses daily and greatly admires.
One of the most rewarding aspects of Lyn's role is building relationships with the clinic's pregnant patients over the course of their pregnancies. She cherishes the moments when new mothers return for their six-week postnatal appointments, proudly introducing their beautiful newborns. These moments of connection and gratitude are what Lyn values most, especially when she sees the relief and appreciation on a patient's face after helping them during a difficult time.
Outside of work, Lyn is a devoted mother to two sons, who have blessed her with six wonderful grandchildren—four girls and two boys. Her family is her pride and joy, and she loves spending time with them. Additionally, Lyn has a beloved fur baby, George, a mischievous Dachshund who, despite his naughty nature, has completely stolen her heart and rules her life.
Lyn's life is full of love, both at home and in her work at TOAG, where she continues to make a positive impact on everyone she meets.
